What is Spotlite?
Spotlite is an online marketplace platform that connects professional freelance models with verified brands. Brands in need of commercial shoots—such as campaigns, lookbooks, or branded content—can directly source freelance models and manage everything from booking to payment in one place. The platform enables efficient communication based on key details like rates, usage rights, and license duration. At Spotlite, we prioritize professionalism over appearance, age, or size. To be eligible, you must have at least 10 paid commercial shoots — including campaigns, lookbooks, e-commerce, or TV commercials. The following types of work are not considered valid: test shoots, collaboration projects, social media brand deals, or self-produced profile content. Models currently under exclusive contracts with an agency are also not eligible. Finally, you must hold a valid visa that permits paid modeling wHow long does it take for a model to respond?
Response time can vary by model, but most respond in less than 24 hours on average. When you send a booking request, the model receives an KakaoTalk notification, which helps ensure that the request is seen promptly. Most models reply as soon as they see the alert, or soon after after checking their availability. However, if they are occupied with a different shoot or in transit, replies may take longer. No. Spotlite hosts not only freelance models, but also models represented by agencies. We currently have official MOUs with over 30 model management agencies around the world, which allows us to connect brands with top-tier international talent across multiple countries. Brands can search and compare both freelance and agency-represented models on the same platform without distinction. The booking process is exactly the same, and no extra steps are required. For agency-represented models, scheduI’d like to extend the usage period or usage scope.
If you’d like to extend the usage period or change the usage scope of any previously-contracted content, please contact our Customer Experience Team. We’ll check with the model and let you know whether a fee adjustment or new contract is required based on the updated terms. Spotlite aims to provide a smooth and reliable payment process. As of November 2024, clients are expected to transfer payment to Spotlite within 30 business days after the shoot. Once the brand’s payment is confirmed, Spotlite will transfer the amount to the model within 1–2 business days. Freelance models are paid directly to their personal bank account, while agency-represented models are paid to the designated account of their management. Once a shoot is confirmed between a client and a model, Spotlite’s Customer Experience Team prepares the contract and shares a draft to both parties. Contracts are signed electronically using Modusign, a certified e-signature platform. The contract includes all key terms such as model fee, shoot schedule, and usage rights. “Option” is a stage before the booking is fully confirmed — it’s when the model’s schedule is temporarily held. It’s a mutual agreement between the client and the model to say: "There’s a possibility we might shoot on this date, please put other plans on hold for now." From the client’s perspective: An option allows you to tentatively secure the model’s availability while you’re still considering the final booking. Rates on Spotlite are not fixed — you’re free to negotiate directly with the client. The hourly rate shown on your profile is just a baseline. The final rate for a specific job can be negotiated through the platform’s chat system after a booking request is received. Clients may request additional usage (e.g., extra hours, extended usage, or additional content), and we recommend discussing those details clearly before finalizing the contract.
