The model’s contracted time is based on their total time on set, not just the time actively spent in front of the camera.
This means that preparation, waiting periods, meals, and any time spent at the location are all included in the calculated shoot time—regardless of the activity.
For example, a common question we receive is, “Is lunch time excluded from the rate calculation?”
The answer is no. While offering a break or meal is at the client's discretion, the model's rate is based on actual time present at the shoot location.
