Spotlite is an online marketplace platform that connects professional freelance models with verified brands. Brands in need of commercial shoots—such as campaigns, lookbooks, or branded content—can directly source freelance models and manage everything from booking to payment in one place. The platform enables efficient communication based on key details like rates, usage rights, and license duration. You can adjust production terms to match their needs and collaborate with models flexibly. EvenAre only freelance models available on Spotlite?
No. Spotlite hosts not only freelance models, but also models represented by agencies. We currently have official MOUs with over 30 model management agencies around the world, which allows us to connect brands with top-tier international talent across multiple countries. Brands can search and compare both freelance and agency-represented models on the same platform without distinction. The booking process is exactly the same, and no extra steps are required. For agency-represented models, scheduCan Spotlite recommend or shortlist models for my project?
As Spotlite is not an agency, we are unable to provide curated recommendations or handpicked shortlists. Spotlite is a marketplace platform with over 1,000 active talents worldwide, where brands can browse, filter, and connect directly with models that fit their needs. To help with your search process, we offer various filters and hashtags on the homepage—allowing you to narrow down by nationality, measurements, availability, specific shoot types, and more. If you're looking for models who matchHow do I send a booking request?
To send a booking request on Spotlite, log in with your client account and go to the profile page of the model you'd like to book. Fill in key details such as shoot date, location, media usage, and expected duration, and click the [Request Booking] button. The model will then receive the booking request via KakaoTalk or email, and choose to accept, decline, or suggest a rate in response. We also provide an option to shortlist multiple models and reach out to them at once via a group request. OncWhat if my shoot details aren’t finalized yet?
That’s totally fine. You can still send a booking request to check the model’s availability and get a preliminary quote—even if your project isn’t fully confirmed yet. Just include general information such as the tentative shoot date, expected usage period, and any other relevant context. To help the model assess the request, it’s a good idea to mention which parts are still undecided and when you expect to confirm the final details. The more context you can provide, the easier it is for the modWhy can’t I see a model’s rate?
Spotlite operates on a system where models input their own hourly rates directly. For models labeled with “This model will send you a quotation upon request,” you can send a booking request first. After reviewing the shoot details and conditions, the model will confirm availability and propose their own rate. Even if the shoot details aren’t fully finalized, you can still send a rate proposal by simply including a rough schedule and usage scope. If you need to check a model’s rate, we recommendHow is a model’s shoot time calculated?
The model’s contracted time is based on their total time on set, not just the time actively spent in front of the camera. This means that preparation, waiting periods, meals, and any time spent at the location are all included in the calculated shoot time—regardless of the activity. For example, a common question we receive is, “Is lunch time excluded from the rate calculation?” The answer is no. While offering a break or meal is at the client's discretion, the model's rate is based on actual tiCan I book a model for less than 3 hours?
Currently, the Spotlite platform requires a minimum booking duration of 3 hours for standard requests. However, shoots shorter than 3 hours may still be possible depending on the model’s availability and agreement. If you’re planning a shorter session, please include the details in the “Inquiry” section when sending your booking request. For example: “We’re planning a 1-hour shoot focused on product-wear shots only.” If the model agrees to the shortened session, a custom quote can be arranged. ICan I schedule an in-person meeting before booking?
Yes. You can arrange in-person meetings with models via Spotlite, if needed. To arrange an in-person meeting, start by sending a booking request to the model of your choice. Once the model confirms their availability, you’ll be able to communicate directly via the Chat feature. In-person meetings can be helpful for checking the model’s fit and becoming aligned on the concept of the shoot. It is especially recommended for projects that require long hours, such as videos or lookbooks. However, sinWhat is “Usage,” and why does it matter?
“Usage” refers to the platform or media where the content will be published or distributed. Clearly defining usage in the contract is essential to protect the model’s image rights and to set fair and transparent terms. Since each type of usage has a different level of exposure, rates and conditions may vary. Here are some common usage types: • Digital (Owned Media): Your brand’s official website, social media channels, or mobile app. This also includes placements on third-party websites. • SponsWhat is the difference between a “Making-of Film” and a “Brand Film”?
In addition to still images, many Spotlite shoots also include video content. Two common formats are the “making-of film” and the “brand film.” While both are video-based, they serve different purposes and should be clearly distinguished in your contract. • Making-of Film (Behind-the-Scenes): A casual video that captures the atmosphere or behind-the-scenes moments of the shoot. It’s usually filmed with a phone or a simple device and often used for teasers or social media content. Even though makWhat is a content usage period? Can I use content indefinitely?
Content created with models booked on Spotlite can only be used within the usage period specified in the contract. This period begins from the date the content is first published (e.g. posted online), and only during this time can it be edited, published, or used for advertising. Under Korean copyright law (Article 16) and international norms like the Berne Convention, copyright holders retain reproduction and transmission rights. However, content legally posted during the agreed usage period isHow much does it cost to use content globally?
For global or international usage, models set their own additional rates, which may vary based on their individual pricing standards. Therefore, there is no fixed fee—the cost depends on the country, usage type, and duration. For example, using the same content on Instagram in South Korea vs. in a commercial campaign in the U.S. involves very different levels of exposure and commercial value. As a result, the model may propose a higher fee for global use. To receive an accurate quote, please incIf a model clicks “Confirm availability,” is the booking confirmed?
