An option is a client's request to temporarily reserve a model's availability before confirming the shoot. It means "the shoot might happen on this date, so please keep it open." It helps clients secure talent while they finalize decisions, but should be used responsibly since it blocks the model's schedule.
If the shoot won't proceed, cancel the hold promptly—there's no fee, and timely updates build trust for future collaborations.
*Note: An option is a stage prior to formal confirmation of a booking. Cancellation fees that apply after a booking is confirmed (20%/50% of the contract amount, or the full Spotlite service fee) do not apply at the option stage.
