What is "Option"
“Option” is a stage before the booking is fully confirmed — it’s when the model’s schedule is temporarily held. It’s a mutual agreement between the client and the model to say: "There’s a possibility we might shoot on this date, please put other plans on hold for now." From the client’s perspective: An option allows you to tentatively secure the model’s availability while you’re still considering the final booking. Booking request notifications are sent via KakaoTalk (for Korea) or LINE (for Thailand), using the phone number you provided in your application. Tap the button in the alert message to go directly to the Spotlite website, where you can choose to “Accept,” “Decline,” or “Propose a Rate.” If you don’t respond within a certain time frame, the client may consider the request passively declined. Whether you can do your own hair and makeup is completely up to you. If you’re comfortable doing self-styling, feel free to say so — and if not, it’s perfectly fine to politely decline. Note that if you agree to self-styling, clients may expect a certain level of quality. It's helpful to request a reference image or brief from the client in advance. Rates on Spotlite are not fixed — you’re free to negotiate directly with the client. The hourly rate shown on your profile is just a baseline. The final rate for a specific job can be negotiated through the platform’s chat system after a booking request is received. Clients may request additional usage (e.g., extra hours, extended usage, or additional content), and we recommend discussing those details clearly before finalizing the contract. Once a booking is confirmed, Spotlite will send out a contract via email or KakaoTalk. Contracts are handled through an online system called “Modusign.” The contract is automatically generated based on the information you provided (e.g., rate, schedule, hours), and both parties must sign it for it to be valid. If anything needs to be changed after confirmation, you can discuss it via chat and request a revision. Unless the client leaves a specific note in the chat, Spotlite cannot confirm the exact reason for cancellations. In most cases, delays in response, schedule conflicts, or budget concerns may be factors. A cancellation doesn’t mean there’s a problem with your profile — you may still receive future requests from other clients. If a client tries to take the contract off Spotlite after you’ve accepted a booking, please report it to our Customer Experience Team immediately. This is considered a platform bypass and is a violation of our Terms of Use. Spotlite is designed to manage all parts of the booking safely — including communication, contracts, and payments. If a bypass is detected, both the client and the model may be restricted or banned from the platform. Off-platform deals also increase the risk of payment issues
